WRIGLEY ADDS SUGAR SUBSTITUTES AND CHEMICALS TO ITS CHEWING GUM THAT MAY HAVE QUESTIONABLE HEALTH CONCERNS. SIMILAR FAST GRAB PRODUCTS LIKE CANDIE BARS, PACKAGED CAKES, AND SNAKES MAY HAVE THE SAME ADDITIVES.

Welcome, health enthusiasts, to althealth.net, a site that provides informative content on health, alternatives, wellness, prevention, and the politics of health in America and the World. We will focus on Big Parma and Food Corporations that may be significantly influencing our wellness. To start this journey, I took a product that I have consumed and have considered a habit since I was five years old, GUM. Whether it's Stick gum or Bubble gum, the product, from the day it was introduced to the consumer market, is, I'm sure, filled with Chemicals, Sugars, and substitute sugars today. Double Mint Gum by Wrigley's and commercials with the Double Mint Iconic Twins singing their product into your mouth. Now, don't get me wrong, I truly enjoyed a stick of gum with a minty taste and chewing as an emotional release. However, it was not until resent that I looked into the variety of Chemicals and substances that are ingested into your body when consuming gum. However, on closer research, these chemicals are certainly questionable. I recently consumed one of the products below called EXTRA and had a sensitive reaction of burning in my throat, and inhaled at the time of consumption, which was very uncomfortable and irritating to my mouth, throat, and larynx. I probably was always insensitive to these reactions once I got past the reaction. It's called denial. So I decided to stop using this product and list the chemicals that are part of the product. These are the substances in the products below and why you should know.  Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol used in the food industry to improve the texture and shelf life of food. There is a natural form and a commercially manufactured product. Although the product is deemed safe for some who consume Sorbitol can experience diarrhea and more serious digestive issues when consumed in high quantities. Another listed is Artificial Flavors with no description; however, they come with risks of allergic reactions, headaches, hives, rashes, and some respiratory issues. For Children, they have been linked to hyperactivity and neurological deficit concerns, ADHD. Hydrogenated Starch, another sugar substitute, with many of the symptoms of Sorbitol. Aspartame is well known to the science-based industry to cause Liver and Kidney illness, headaches and migraines, mood disorders, weight gain, and help in developing diabetes, and concerns for Cancer and memory loss, just to name a few. This is approved by the FDA with the consumption ADI or Acceptable Daily Intake. I say buyer beware. Next, BHT is used to maintain freshness.  Among other agents, such as Soy Lecithin, these products may include FD&C Blue # 1 Color, having concerns for its highest toxicity, including Allergic reactions, Cancer Risk in rodents, and possible cell changes, organ damage in animals, specifically Liver damage and neurotoxicity across the brain barrier protection.  Unfortunately, many of these chemicals are found in Gum, Candy, Soft Drinks, Packaged Cakes, Crackers, and canned and packaged foods. Unfortunately, our US. The government sets a low bar on such additives, while many of our worldwide countries have higher standards. As you know, our new Secretary of Health and Human Services is Robert Kennedy JR. and is taking the fight right to these very food and drug distributors. Stay informed and stay healthy. Make it a great day!

Artificial sweeteners and health concerns.

One of the many confectioneries, including Wrigley Corporation's chewing gum, contains chemical additives and artificial sweeteners that present possible health risks. Yet, consumers continue to purchase and ingest these products, taking a risk for a range of illnesses, including Cancer. Once you do the research, you must ask yourself why you should pay good money for products that can make you sick. It goes back to ignorance, habit, gratification, marketing, and addiction. Worse, the offspring's your children will repeat the same pattern, follow the parents, and be encouraged by their peers.  The range of chemicals is shocking, and the FDA has often approved these chemicals is failing to protect the public from information that would educate the consumer, but instead may be acting as a complicit partner to the Corporations and Distributors to spread disinformation or just by being unassertive in restricting these additives. This must stop, for your health's sake, so you can make better choices. Ultimately, it's up to you.  Read the label, the box, or the package, and ask AI if necessary to give you an opinion on any substance or chemical you do not recognize.  Good Luck!

HHS SECRETARY ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. AND FDA COMMISISONER DR. MARTY MAKARY MAKE A JOINT ANNOUCEMENTTO BAN SYNTHEITC DYES IN ALL FOOD. A LANDMARK DECSION FOR MAHA.

For over forty years, the food industry has included synthetic dyes in our food and especially in those snacks targeting young people. The products range from Skittles to Froot Loops and everything in between, with 0 nutritional value. These have caused health maladies including extreme Hyperactivity, autism, and suggested through research, obesity and cancers. President Trump has authorized both Secretary Kennedy and Commissioner Makary to put an end to these dangerous color dyes and additives. They have started with 9 dyes, including Orange B and Red 2, with Red 3's removal accelerated. This is one step closer to examining the Autistic epidemic in the USA, where 1 in 33 young people suffer from these conditions, as opposed to 1970, when it was 1 in 10 thousand. Please research more on this growing concern and the great work our new administration is doing for health. In a fast-paced society, please advise your family on the benefits of good nutritional habits.

Coronary Artery Health - Diagnostic Tests

Below are methods of determining Artery health, including body scans and blood tests.

Calcium Score Test

A calcium score test can help your healthcare provider decide if you need treatment to prevent a heart attack or stroke. Test results are most helpful for people who don’t have a clear high or low risk, but are somewhere in the middle. A calcium score test is quick and noninvasive. You can return to normal activities right after the test.

What is a calcium score test?

A calcium score test is a CT (computed tomography) scan that looks at how much calcium is in your coronary arteries. Calcium in your heart’s arteries can tell you if you have a buildup of a waxy, fatty substance (plaque) that can narrow or block them. This means you could have atherosclerosis (coronary artery disease), which could lead to a heart attack.

C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test

The C-reactive protein (CRP) test is a blood test that measures the level of a protein called C-reactive protein (CRP) in the bloodstream. CRP is an inflammatory marker that is produced by the liver in response to inflammation throughout the body.  Normal levels are typically less than 0.3 mg/dL, while levels above 10 mg/dL suggest a marked increase, often associated with infections or inflammatory diseases.

Triglyceride Test

….Is used to measure the level of triglycerides in the blood by drawing a blood sample from a vein in the arm.  The results are ordered as follow:

Normal Range   -   Less than 150 mg/dL (milligrams per deciliter)

High Triglyceride Levels:

150-199 mg/dL: Borderline high

200-499 mg/dL: High

500 mg/dL or higher: Very high.

Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)

Definition:  Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) is a protein that plays a crucial role in the transport of cholesterol and triglycerides in the bloodstream.

Function:

ApoB is a structural component of lipoproteins, including low-density lipoprotein (LDL), very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), and intermediate-density lipoprotein (IDL).

It helps these lipoproteins bind to receptors on cells, allowing them to deliver cholesterol and triglycerides to tissues throughout the body.

Clinical Significance:

High levels of ApoB are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

ApoB is a more accurate predictor of cardiovascular risk than LDL cholesterol alone, as it reflects the total number of atherogenic (plaque-forming) lipoprotein particles in the blood.

It is done through a blood sample.

Apo B testing results are measured in milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) and can range from 20 to over 400 mg/dL depending on the lab. Normal or optimal levels are typically considered to be below 90 mg/dL, but specific target levels can vary based on individual risk factors, with some guidelines recommending a target of less than 65 or 80 mg/dL for people on statins. A result above 130 mg/dL is generally considered high and indicates a higher risk for cardiovascular disease.
